| FAMAS is an integrated computer based financial and management accounting system that is exclusively designed to meet the each financial and management accounting standard of different specific sectors e.g., social development sector, government sector, corporate business sector, education and service sector, banking and finance sector etc. |

| 2) To whom FAMAS is meant for? |
FAMAS is meant for those organizations, individual or government body who needs the recording, analyzing and summarizing the financial transaction that is useful to wide range of its user for informed decision making. FAMAS will be meant for following:

Organizations Non profit Making Organisations Financial Institutions Tax Offices Government Authorities

| 3) Where can I get FAMAS? |
| The easiest and fastest way of obtaining FAMAS is through its website, www.cbfe.com.np/download.asp. It
can also be obtained by placing a request via mail at info@cbfe.com.np or by visiting the CBFE
office at Kathmandu, Nepal in person. |

| FAMAS is now, available in two versions that are:

| 5) Do I have to pay to use both the versions? |
| No, the demo version is available at free of cost. However, in order to use the version 1.0 you must have a beta version or you must be a registered user of FAMAS which involves covering the cost associated for getting the license. |

| 6) What are the minimum requirements for me to install and run FAMAS? |
The following specifications are recommended as minimum requirements to run FAMAS: For FAMAS server Hardware: Pentium IV with 256 MB RAM Operating System: Windows 2000 Database: SQL Server 2000 Other required packages: Office 2000 (MS Access, Excel, WinWord etc.) For FAMAS clients/ users Hardware: Pentium III with 256 MB RAM Operating System: Windows 98 Other required packages: Office 2000 (MS Access, Excel, WinWord etc.)

| 7) How large is the exe file of FAMAS? |
| If it is compressed, it will be about 6 MB, otherwise it will be about 10 MB. |

| 8) What are the steps involved in installing FAMAS? |
Please read carefully the readme.txt file that comes with FAMAS installation CD, all steps involved in installing FAMAS is described in details at readme.txt file. However you can follow the following steps:
- Double click on FAMAS setup file.
- Follow the instructions.
- Click on finish.
- Restart the computer.

| 9) From Where can I access/ run FAMAS? |
After installing the FAMAS on your computer you can access FAMAS by one of the following option: 1. Double click on the FAMAS shortcut icon on your desktop or 2. Click on Programs=> FAMAS=> FAMAS on Start menu. |

| 10) Can I integrate FAMAS with my former accounting system? |
| It will not be required to integrated FAMAS with any other software, because it has Add-ins module to fulfill your specific requirements, however, if you need to integrate it with your existing packages and your existing package is developed on Microsoft environment, FAMAS may be integrated with some of other accounting packages. |

| 11) Can I use my old database and its content with FAMAS? |
| We highly recommend you not to use it with old database, however, if it is needed, please contact to your programmer vender or FAMAS support team. |

| 12) I installed FAMAS and used it as demo version, but after some interval of running it, it stopped working. Why? |
| FAMAS runs as demo version only for some intervals. In order to use to further, it needs to be registered. This is why FAMAS stopped running on your computer after certain periods. |

| 13) Why should I register? |
| Registering your product (FAMAS) makes you a valid user and only after registering can you have access to use all its features/ options and get its support and services. You also can be able to update that follow with the product. Also, the registration number that we provide you at the time of registration helps us track and solve your problems and queries, as and when needed. |

| 14) How can I register FAMAS? |
| You can register FAMAS by direct calling into CBFE head office or your nearest FAMAS local agent. But ensure that you have paid all bills and completed all process that may be needed to be as a valid FAMAS user. Once you have a license authority and provide us your product Id that generate by FAMAS, registration number will be given to you, which should be entered into your system will be get your product registered. |

| 15) Can I use the same registration Id now and again? |
| No, the registration id provided at a time is only valid for that one time for specific computer. Also, if you fail to enter the Id on the same day it is provided, your product might not be registered and you again need to follow the further processes at all. |

| 16) Does registering the product involve any additional cost? |
| No, once you have completed the further processes for its license, you do not need to pay any additional cost for registering the product. |

| 17) If I want to install a newer version of FAMAS, is it essential that I uninstall the earlier version? |
| No, you can just update your product with your newer version if it is available. But ensure that you have taken the backup of your system before updating it. |

| 18) Why do I need to update FAMAS? |
You may need to update FAMAS either the following conditions:
- If newer version is available with additional required features and option or
- If you have reported any FAMAS unhandled error to support team and you got the updated executable file through your program vender.

| 19) Do I need to get any permission each time when I update or uninstall the FAMAS? |
| No, you do not need any permission to update or uninstall your system. But make sure that you have taken the backup and your annual maintenance contract with program vender is not terminated. You also need to re-register your product after you finish updating/ re-installing. |

| 20) What do I need in order to update FAMAS? |
You will need the following before updating FAMAS -
- Take at least two copies backup of your existing system.
- Make sure that you have updated FAMAS exe file and its supporting files (you
can also download it from www.cbfe.com.np/download.asp)

| 21) What are the steps involved in Updating FAMAS? |
The steps involved while updating FAMAS are:
- If FAMAS is running on your computer, close it.
- Copy latest FAMAS exe file from source disk. (If it is compressed/ zipped extract/ unzip it before copying).
- Right-click on FAMAS shortcut icon on your desktop and click on Properties.
- Click on Find Target, this will take you to FAMAS system directory where your installation is made.
- Paste updated files to the 'target.'
- Rename your existing FAMAS exe file to oldFAMAS and rename the new updated one to 'FAMAS'.
- If there are any support files, first read carefully the readme.txt files and follow the instruction accordingly (if there are any .ocx or .dll files, copy and paste it to e.g., C:\windows\system32)
This may end the process. |

| 22) Will I lose all my data if I uninstall the product? |
| If you uninstall without taking any backup, there may be higher chances to lose your existing data. Therefore it is essential that you take proper backup at a certain intervals or before uninstalling FAMAS each time. |

| 23) Why should I take Back-up? |
| Taking back-up helps maintain data redundancy and cope with risky situations in which you end-up corrupting or losing your valuable data. |

| 24) How do I take a back-up? |
Follow the following steps in order to take a back-up of your data:
- Click Gateway on the menu bar.
- Go to Backup and then choose the option Multiple Organization or Current Organization depending on whether you want to take the backup of a multiple organizations or current ones.
- Choose the location where you want to take the backup (e.g., C:\Program Files\FAMAS\Backup)
- Click Save button

| 25) How can I identify my latest backup file? |
| While backing up, the system appends the current date along with the backup file name. The date can be used to identify the latest backup file. |

| 26) While I was taking the backup from my own computer (client/user site), it did not succeeded, why? |
| Backups can only be taken from the server computer by authorized person. |
 |
| 27) On what/ where should I take my backup? |
Backups can be taken in any one or more of the following devices:
- on CDs
- on pen drives
- on separate drives/ hard disk partitions etc.

| 28) How can I restore the back-up data? |
Follow the following steps to restore your data:
- Insert your source devices into your computer.
- Click Restore on Gateway menu.
- Select the backed-up file from the source devices and then click Open.
- The message "restore database successfully" will be appeared on your screen, and then click on Ok.
- If restore is not succeeded repeat the above steps.

| Using Restore is not recommended unless it is unavoidable. |

| 30) Why is restore risky? |
| Restore is risky because Restore process will replace your current data with old one. So, we recommended that not to restore the data until your system has been physically damaged or your current data has been permanently lost. |

| 32) Is it possible to customize the features of FAMAS as per my organizations requirement? |
| Yes, your specific requirements can be added in its Add-ins module that may fulfill your specific requirement even if that may change in near future. |

| 33) What are the security features of FAMAS? |
| FAMAS has group-wise, user-wise higher security option. Only authorized person can access its authenticated menus/ modules etc. It tracks all user-history includes, transaction entered-by, check and verified-=by, transaction posted-by, approved-by etc. with date and time and reports to the authenticated system manager. |

| 34) Can anyone access to my FAMAS system? |
| No, FAMAS has separate security system; every one needs the separate username and password to log-in into the FAMAS system. |

| 35) Is it possible for me to generate report without any permission? |
| No, permission should be granted to you to view or generate any kind of reports that exists in the FAMAS as well as to enter the transaction into the system. |

| 36) Do the reports generated by FAMAS meet international accounting standards? |
| Of course, all financial accounting reports it has meet the national and international accounting standards. |
