CBFE, the Rational
This is a story of Nepal, the country where almost 19,000 social development
organizations are registered and 2,000 are currently working (Source: SWC, March
2006), most of which are supported by foreign-aid.
Though the country is in much need of any form of financial assistance, it
has been found that a minimum of 20-50% of total allocated funds collapse every
year. Funding partners are obviously not happy with such a situation. Eventually
the targeted communities end up losing valuable opportunities.
Our initial research and study found that besides the external factors like
political instability, the internal factors such as the lack of a proper
automated system backed by the options for financial planning, management, and
generation of analytical reports on a regular basis are the main reasons for
such under utilization of funds.
Perhaps this is the same story with most of the social organizations working
in different developing countries around the world.
This is the reason why COMPUTER BASED FINANCIAL ENGINEERING (CBFE) was first
established in Nepal. CBFE believes that every organization should have a proper
automated system which should provide necessary financial and management
information that helps for proper utilization of available resources effectively
and efficiently. CBFE is committed to "work-together" to overcome these
challenges and issues by providing innovative computer based systems that stand
as the backbone of any organization. It can be taken for granted that the
implementation of these systems ensures the success of any organization.
CBFE, the organization
COMPUTER BASED FINANCIAL ENGINEERING (CBFE) was established in 2005 in Nepal
and has since then made a tremendous impact in the functioning of organizations
of various kinds. Its strength lies in providing computer based financial
and management solutions, backed up by professional consultations, support and
training.
At CBFE, we understand that many organizations have been facing problems in
reaching their financial and management goals. We specialize in providing the
right kind of tools as per the organization's need, with a perfect use of
simplified computer technology for the traditional modus operandi.
CBFE is involved in the design, the development, and the implementation of
innovative instruments and processes, and the formulation of creative computer
based solutions to problems related to organizational management systems in
general and on financial and project management information systems in
particular.

Research & Developmet
We are always committed to explore different ways of handing financial and
management information and presenting innovative alternatives. We therefore have
our own Research and Development (R & D) team. The team consists of a group
of professionals, engineers, and university students mostly practicing Financial
Engineering. Our R & D team is committed to undertake research, analyze the
research findings, and design & develop new innovative tools as the ultimate
organizational information system.
